Hormonal Health

Hormones are chemical substances that act like messenger molecules in the body. After being made in one part of the body, they travel to other parts of the body where they help control how cells and organs do their work.

They effect every system in our bodies and their balance is crucial to health.

As a nutritional therapist (and a woman), I understand the complexity of the female body and how important it is to maintain our fine hormonal balance.

From adolescence, our hormones form part of our daily life. We rely on a series of very complex interactions between all the cells in our body to ensure optimal health. For example, the adrenals produce cortisol that can affect your thyroid function, bodily inflammation and both can influence oestrogen levels. A healthy gut plays an extremely important role in balancing our hormones as it regulates the excretion of our hormones after they are metabolised by the liver.

In clinic, I specialise in helping women optimise their hormonal health. I look at specific conditions, for example:

  • PCOS

  • Endometriosis

  • Low libido

  • PMS

  • Menopause

I regularly address weight gain and loss, energy levels, alongside liver support to optimise performance to ensure toxin and hormone elimination. My approach is highly personalised and based on functional medicine principles that investigate each and every system in the body to address the imbalances contributing to the health concern.

My approach with every client is personalised and based on the functional medicine principles that look at the body holistically,  investigating each system in the body to address the imbalances contributing to your health concerns. Contact me to arrange a 15 minute phone call to discuss further.
